Investing in my own waxing products

I’ve been waxing my own eyebrows for more years than I can count. Waxing can be pricy at salons and I’m so particular about my eyebrows that I have rarely been satisfied when paying for a professional to do it, including one time when half of my eyebrow was removed :). Waxing them on my own at home has worked so much better for me knowing I have complete control of everything I’m doing.

I first started out waxing my brows using the microwavable wax from the drugstore. The particular wax I used requires you to apply the wax, let it dry, then tear off the dry wax to remove the hair. It was usually difficult to remove all the wax in one rip, causing more pain and time, but I guess you get what you pay for.

This is why I decided to invest in all the waxing gear typically used in salons about a year ago and it was a HUGE game changer. The cost of everything was under $50, which isn’t bad at all considering salons can charge as much as $15 for one wax. All the supplies will also last a very long time since I’m the only one using it. Waxing is now SO much easier. The wax takes about 45 minutes to heat up and it only takes me about five minutes to get the job done!

If you have never waxed or even plucked your own brows and have instead had someone else do them I know it can seem like a daunting task to take it on personally, but it really isn’t difficult at all. When I started out doing my own brows I just followed the line created by my beautician and modified it to what I liked. This simplifies everything and takes away the stress of trying to completely create a shape on your own. There will be some trial and error but I really do think it’s worth it if you want to save money and be in full control!

Below I’ve linked every product I use:
