Makeup products I’ve been using for 5+ years

Once I find a product I like I tend to stay with it for the long haul. This is especially true when it comes to makeup. Every once in a while I’ll try something new, but I always find myself going back to my favorites (if it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right?). In this post I wanted to share some of my long-time go-to’s with you all, and when I say long-time, I mean it–I’m talking five years, plus! These are also all drugstore products, which is an added bonus!

IMG_5927I’ll start with COVERGIRL’s LashBlast Volume Mascara. I can’t remember the exact time in my life when I was introduced to this holy grail but I want to say it was during my middle school days, which was around 10 years ago. This mascara comes in variations with different wands and each one I’ve tried has never disappointed. This is the original LashBlast and I love the thickness of the wand. It adds excessive length to my lashes without any clumps and makes it appear that I have double the amount of lashes as well. If COVERGIRL every stops making this I will be very devastated; no other mascara holds a candle to this.IMG_5934I love a good BB cream and COVERGIRL Smoothers Lightweight BB Cream has never disappointed. It’s super lightweight and has SPF 21 broad spectrum, which is so nice (I’m a full supporter of always having some form of UV protection on your face). The SPF also makes this foundation perfect for the summertime, but I wear it year-round; mainly to work when I don’t want anything too heavy on my face. It honestly feels like I’m wearing nothing and lasts all day.IMG_5929The less time it takes me to do my eyebrows the better and Maybelline’s Brow Drama Sculpting Eyebrow Mascara makes this a reality for me. The mascara is tinted (I use light brown) and the wand makes it so easy to move my eyebrow hairs in whichever direction I want. I personally love a feathered eyebrow and achieving the look is a breeze with this! My tip when using this is to have a light hand because it can easily get on your skin. Once you get used to it you’ll realize that it really is a game changer. I like having so much control over every hair and it keeps my brows where I want them until I remove my makeup before going to bed.

Well, there you have it–my ultimate makeup favorites that have stood the test of time. What are yours? Let me know in the comments!
